Shuaib Aslam was a resident of Stockton, California, USA. He killed himself on March 14, 2018 at around 3 pm. He was 18 years old at the time. He had owned two shotguns however he chose the KSG-12 to shoot himself. He was in a discord call at the time with 4 friends and he lived with his Mom (49 years old in 2018), Dad (56), Sister (17) and baby sister (6).

I was a teenager, about 15 or 16, and the person in question was my boyfriend at the time. He was 18 and (I didn't realise it at the time) highly manipulative. He would threaten to hurt himself very often if he was angry with me, but one time he was threatening to kill himself and was describing in explicit detail how he was planning on shooting himself in his basement and it didn't matter what I said, he was going to do it. I remember sobbing on a voice call with him, just like the girl in this video, just ugly crying and begging him not to do anything and that I loved him and didn't want him to die. He wouldn't acknowledge anything I said, he'd just go silent and then go back to talking about guns. It ended with him deciding he'd had enough of listening to me and blocking me for the night, which scared me even more. I remember being teary all day at school the next day, not knowing whether he was alive or not. A day later he unblocked me and called me selfish for pressuring him the way I did. But at least he was alive.
A variation of this kind of thing happened several times in the two years I was involved with him. He knew it would get a reaction out of me and it always did, without fail. Sometimes he'd say he'd use a knife instead of a gun, or go to the bridge a friend of his committed suicide at once. He knew how to make me panic and it always worked. Every time I'd be sobbing and begging him and he'd remain indifferent about it. Somehow everything was always my fault, too.
Last I heard he passed about ten years ago. At that time I'd cut him out of my life for a multitude of reasons and wasn't sorry to hear he was gone.

sorry, to hear what happened to you, I've had a similar story where I was that guy, where I actually told some friends that I will suicide due to my parents not satisfied with my grades back then in the 9th grade, I have even faked a news article and published. One girl that believed all the story, she even sent a guy to where I told them I'll suicide to check, she stayed all nights scared, even at a moment there was a power outage in her house, and she thought my soul would come out to her. That was the only time, I have done it, and it was enough to know how much those situations scares people that care about you.

A guy in my hometown did this because his girlfriend broke up with him. She was one of the top five hottest chicks in our small-town high school, a beautiful, natural platinum blonde who wore jeans so tight they looked like they were painted on, and wore them very well, but she wasn't worth that.
He did it this same way, shotgun to his head in his bedroom, and his mom, who was one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, found the mess. He was a good looking guy, had a beautiful, custom 1969 or 70 Chevy Chevelle at age 18 (this was mid-1980s), his family were large-scale farmers (for the area) and had money, but he couldn't handle losing his girlfriend. They had been together a couple years.

I've always figured that people who commit suicide never really know for sure that it's the right idea, because how can you? Life may have sucked for a decade or two, but things may turn around tomorrow. What if, the day after you would have killed yourself if you had followed through, you're still alive, and you buy a lottery ticket that wins you 245 million dollars lump sum, and instantly cures every problem you have? Except those in your head, of course.
