A Riverhead man living in Oklahoma died yesterday after being attacked by a man with an axe Monday.

Tulsa Police said James “Jimi” Patterson, 22, was struck in the head with an axe Monday night in an apartment in Tulsa.

Police said Israel (AKA Isreal) Trejo, who was in the apartment to buy the axe from another person, swung the axe at Patterson, who was sitting on a couch in the apartment.

Patterson and Trejo never spoke to one another, according to police. After a few minutes of holding the axe, Trejo swung the axe and struck Patterson. Trejo then fled the scene but was captured by police shortly afterward.

Patterson was taken to the hospital with the axe still in his head, according to a police press release. He underwent surgery but succumbed to his injuries Thursday.

Trejo, who police said has a prior felony conviction, was initially charged with for Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The charge was upgraded to First Degree Murder after Patterson died.

Trejo is in custody in the Tulsa County Jail, police said.

A classmate of Patterson's at Riverhead High School started a GoFundMe page to raise money help pay funeral expenses.

“Jimi was such a great kid. Jimi had a great heart; he was very intelligent and was always the class clown keeping a smile on everyone's face. He was very talented when it came to making music which he loved to do,” wrote fundraising organizer Lexus Gilliam.

“During this tragic time for the Paterson family, we would like to reach out to our community and Jimi's friends and family to help bring him home for the last time. It would mean so much for all who love him to lay him to rest peacefully in the community he loved,” Gilliam wrote.

With a goal of $25,000, the page has raised $2,165 as of this posting on Friday evening.

A man identified only as Pedro died with a stab wound to the neck after a fight around 3 am on a Sunday, in the municipality of Borba (151 kilometers south of Manaus).

A fifteen year old boy has been arrested following the murder of a twelve year old boy in Cha Am.

On Tuesday (Dec 21) police were called to a townhouse in Soi Nantachai next to Soi Cha-Am South 1 following the discovery of the body of the 12 year old boy in a second floor bedroom.

Police said the boy had been beaten to death with a hammer.

Police quickly discovered the suspect was the boy's 15 year old friend who fled the scene on a motorcycle.

The 15 year old was later found walking along Cha Am beach in a confused state.

As police approached to apprehend the boy he pulled out a gun which was later found to be an imitation weapon.

The mother of the victim said the two boys were friends and regularly hung out together, often playing video games.

It is understood the pair had argued before the murder took place.

Police and social services are investigating the incident. The 15 year old boy remains in custody.

Dreaded gangster Sunil Mann alias Tillu Tajpuriya was killed on a Tuesday morning after rival gang members attacked him with an iron rod and stabbed him with a “sua” (a big needle often used to break slabs of ice) 40 times in high security Tihar's Mandoli jail. “Today, at around 7 am, information was received from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital regarding two undertrial prisoners brought to the hospital from Tihar Jail. However, the police arrested Gogi and Fajja, and their plan failed. Though Fajja was freed from police custody at GTB Hospital by gang members, he was later killed in a police encounter. Gogi was killed in a shootout at the Rohini court,” said an officer.

It is also said that Jitendra Gogi gang has supplied pistol to Sunny who killed Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf. The jail officials said they are suspecting gangster Rohit Moi's hand in the brutal murder of Tillu. Rohit Moi is believed to be Gogi's right-hand.
