The equipment was supposed to automatically shut down during the clogging and stopping of the conveyor belt, but this did not happen. Authorities stated that the factory did not allow employees to work safely and a criminal complaint was filed against it.

According to "Liveleak", the worker is 38 years old, single and has no children. He has only been working as a quality control controller at the Kastamonu Yelab processing plant of a well-known local company for three months, specializing in the production of flooring and wooden boards. On the night of the incident, when the worker's partner left to smoke a cigarette, he checked the equipment alone. Unexpectedly, just as he was about to activate the button of the production line, the monitor screen captured the large machine quickly rolling him in, and the man was instantly crushed into a cardboard cutout of human flesh. Although his colleagues found out and sent him to the hospital in time, the man's injuries were too serious and he unfortunately died.

According to sources, due to machine failure before the incident, mechanical and electrical personnel had touched the machine equipment and removed special safety devices, which led to the tragedy.
