In yet another tragic incident, a teenager accidentally shot himself while making a video for the popular video-sharing platform, TikTok, on Wednesday in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Swat district, police officials said.

19-year-old Hamidullah accidentally pulled the trigger of a loaded TT pistol while filming the short video in the Kabal area of Swat which left him dead on the spot.

Police officials said that Hamidullah's friends, who were helping him in filming the video clip, rushed him to a nearby hospital but doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

The video of the teenager's accidental death was widely circulated on social media, causing even more panic among the masses. Police sent the body for autopsy and started an investigation into the case.

Sanjay Shah, CEO of a US-based private company, succumbed to his injuries and another official suffered serious injuries in an accident during the silver jubilee celebrations of the firm at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, police said on Friday.

Shah, the CEO of software firm Vistex, and his colleague Raju Datla, the president of the firm, entered an iron cage, during celebrations on Thursday evening, intended to be lowered from a height. However, one side of the iron chain supporting the cage broke, leading to the fall of both individuals.

Vistex had arranged accommodations for its staff at Ramoji Film City and had planned a two-day celebration for its silver jubilee. "Shah and Raju being lowered from the cage onto the dais was a planned event to kickstart the celebrations," a company official told The Times of India.

"Suddenly, one of the two wires attached to the cage snapped. Both plunged more than 15 feet and landed on the concrete dais. This caused multiple injuries," sub- inspector D Karunakar Reddy of Abdullapurmet police station told the newspaper.

They were rushed to the hospital, but Shah passed away while undergoing treatment, and his colleague is in serious condition, the police said. They added that a case was registered against the Film City event management authorities based on a complaint made by another company official.

Vistex is an Illinois-based firm specialising in revenue management solutions and services. With 20 global offices and more than 2,000 employees, the company serves leading brands such as GM, Barilla, and Bayer.

Shah, the founder of Vistex, has also established the Vistex Foundation and the Vistex Institute for Executive Learning and Research at Lehigh University.

Raju Datla, who has been with Vistex since 2000, has played a key role in shaping and expanding the firm's Solution Delivery capabilities, the company's website reads.

A 17 year old goalkeeper tragically died in Argentina as he went to celebrate after saving a penalty with his chest.

Ramon Ismael Coronel, 17, collapsed on the pitch before going into cardiac arrest in front of horrified fans and team-mates.

His team's own supporters rushed him to hospital in the back of a pick-up truck because there was no ambulance at the scene, but he died on the way and efforts to revive him by medics when he reached the hospital were unsuccessful.

The tragedy happened around 9pm on Tuesday in a village near the city of Reconquista in the north of the province of Santa Fe.

Ramon, nicknamed Piki, was playing for his side Union de Golondrina in a match coinciding with an annual religious festival held in the area.

The Regional Northern Football League, the league Union de Golondrina play in, said in a statement: “We confirm the death of Union de Golondrina player Ramon Ismael Coronel, aka Piki.

“Our thoughts are with his family and the club at this difficult time.”

Regional prosecutors have confirmed they have launched an investigation into the tragedy.

Sanchez had allegedly been driving a car when it veered onto the right shoulder of a road approximately 120 miles southeast of San Francisco.

She remains in the Merced County Jail on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter after allegedly crashing her car in Los Banos. The horror smash claimed the life of her younger sister, Jacqueline Sanchez, and badly injured another 14-year-old girl, according to reports.

Sari Salem Wardat, a father of five, had been serving an eight-month prison sentence for carrying an unlicensed weapon and resisting arrest, according to police and relatives, and was released two weeks early in line with special government measures to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus in Jordan. Police sources told Al Jazeera that Sari was a drug dealer and smuggler.

Ahmad Wardat is a member of Jordanian Armed Forces. Relatives who witnessed the shooting said he was using a seven-millimetre modified gun that frequently jammed. The relatives said that Ahmad “was not very bright”. They described a separate occasion several years ago when he fired a pump-action pellet shotgun during a wedding, wounding six people.

Relatives said the shooter said he thought he had fired all of his bullets not knowing that the last bullet had jammed in the magazine that killed Sari.

Hassan Wardat, a distant relative of both men, told Al Jazeera that the families of both men struck an ”Atwa” or a tribal peace agreement, after the shooting to prevent a potential “revenge killing” against the family of the shooter. “Immediately after the shooting, Awad, Sari’s brother, stood among the gathered crowd and said he forgave the shooter and his family for his brother’s blood”
