This is the story of a war crime by one of the Syrian regime’s most notorious enforcers, branch 227 of the country's military intelligence service.

Newly released footage obtained by the Guardian shows a massacre, which was committed in the southern suburbs of Damascus in April 2013; groups of civilians rounded up, blindfolded, handcuffed and marched towards an execution pit unaware they are about to be shot dead.

When the killings were over, at least 41 men lay dead in the mass grave in Tadamon, their murderers pouring fuel on their remains and igniting them, laughing as they covered up a war crime just several miles from Bashar al-Assad's seat of power.

According to preliminary information from the Police, the hitmen were looking for Joel Eliseo Duarte, nicknamed 'Harta Demencia', in the armed attack at this house, where an addiction clinic was operating in Guayaquil. Joel Eliseo Duarte, nicknamed 'Harta Demencia', is one of the two injured in the attack on an addiction clinic in Guayaquil.

A new massacre was recorded at dawn on February 24 in Guayaquil, leaving four young people dead. There are also two injured and one of them is Joel Eliseo Duarte, nicknamed 'Fed Up Dementia'.

The armed attack occurred at a drug rehabilitation clinic in Nueva Prosperina, northwest of Guayaquil. Duarte is recovering in a city health home, and would be in a stable situation.

According to preliminary information from the Police, five men entered the place, which also housed homeless people, and shot at the occupants. At the time of the massacre, there were between six and eight people in the center.

Aftermath:

In addition, one of the hypotheses is that the target of the attackers was Duarte, who had dedicated himself to rescuing people with addiction problems. The fatalities of this attack are between 15 and 24 years old and no one f them had criminal record.
