A security guard was found dead on the ground floor of a commercial building in the city of San Pedro Sula, department of Cortés.

The deceased person was identified as Olvin Leonel Mendoza and the event was recorded in the afternoon of Wednesday, May 31, in a square located in the Los Andes neighborhood, when the guard was standing near the stands leading to the second level. of the building.

The entry of criminals who could have shot the security guard was not reported at the place, but his body had a shot to the abdomen, for which it was initially believed that it was an accidental self-harm while handling his weapon.

However, minutes later the security cameras were reviewed and everything seems to point to the fact that he took his own life, because in the images -which this medium will not reproduce due to their violent content- it is observed when the citizen places the weapon in his abdomen and he presses the trigger before falling to the ground, where he expired.

His body collapsed instantly and the weapon fell a few meters from him. The firearm was raised as part of the evidence when the authorities arrived at the place where the unfortunate incident occurred.

The guard's body entered the San Pedro Sula morgue at night, where the respective autopsy will be performed and then his body will be delivered to his loved ones.

At the moment it is unknown what could have caused Mendoza to make the fatal decision to interrupt his life, but the news has caused great consternation among his co-workers and the population of Sampedrana.
