NORTH Eastern Division police were bracing on Monday night for reprisal shootings and an upsurge in violence after the murder of a sales clerk at his workplace a clothing store in Aranguez. Police said they were told two carloads of gunmen were targeting people in Malick in a direct response to the murder of Keston Alves hours earlier. Alves, 38, of Second Caledonia, Malick was killed on Monday afternoon when a gunman ran into the clothing store Threadz and shot him. Alves murder, police said, was gang-related. Police sources said a top member of the ABG gang is the cousin of Alves. That person is currently in remand prison, having been charged with murder. Alves murder, police believe, was in retaliation for the shooting death of Kelum Williams the nephew of another gang leader on Sunday afternoon. Police said 24-year-old Williams left his Upper Sixth Avenue, Malick home to visit a friend who lives nearby when he was shot dead. Williams uncle is said to be a senior member of the Rasta City gang. The ABG and Rasta City gangs, whose origins were in east Port of Spain, are engaged in a deadly conflict as they seek to expand their territory. Police sources said the ABG and Sixx gangs – the latter being a rival of Rasta City – have come to an understanding and are both targeting Rasta City members. Police confirmed that neither Williams and Alves was involved in criminal activities and they were murdered only because of their relationship to gang members. Police sources in North Eastern Division said officers were on high alert on Monday night and had stepped up patrols, especially in the Second Caledonia area. Speaking on Monday afternoon, the owner of the clothes store, who asked not to be identified, said he had been friends with Alves for years and they were planning to celebrate his (the store owner's) birthday later in the evening.

Gunmen opened fire on a group of people in San Juan this morning, killing two people and injuring three more. Police sources say the hit on Reynold came from behind the prison walls as a message to his brother Arnold Victor, who is also imprisoned. Arnold Victor, aka Fox, has been in prison since 2009 on a charge of allegedly murdering Vegas gang leader Sean Bill Francis on the 26th of April 2009 while at a dumpster near his home. Fox had taken control of the Vegas community after Francis was murdered but he and three other men were subsequently arrested and charged with the alleged capital offense. In January 2010, Tekron Hill and Andy Ferriera were freed of Francis’ killing by then Port of Spain Magistrate Avason Quinlan, who ruled that a prima facie case was not made out against them. However the following month, Quinlan committed Fox and Matthew Perpignac to stand trial at the High Court on charges of allegedly murdering Francis. Fox was accused of controlling the Vegas community from behind bars and calling many shots from behind prison walls. He made more enemies than friends and as the gang culture changed on the outside, most of his loyal soldiers were either gunned down, killed by the police, charged with murder or simply disappeared. The killing of Foxs brother may have been as a result of a recent fallout Fox had with someone. Reynold and his mother had built a house in Vegas Morvant but were forced to leave and relocate to San Juan after their lives were threatened.

On August 23, Kenosha police shot an African American named Jacob Blake, paralyzing him permanently. Because of this, protests broke out in the city, which turned into riots. All charges against the police for this shooting were eventually dropped btw.

Kyle Rittenhouse is from Antioch, Illinois, but worked in Kenosha during the day as a lifeguard at Pleasant Prairie RecPlex. On August 24, he decided to stay overnight and meet up with his friend Dominic Black because of the riots. On August 25, they both arrived at the Car Source business to defend it from BLM rioters. At some point during the night, they split up.

Joseph Rosenbaum had interacted with Kyle (and another unknown man) before the shooting, saying "If I catch any of you guys alone tonight, I'm going to fucking kill you!" Rosenbaum had also displayed erratic and hyperaggressive behavior with others, asking people to shoot him, throwing rocks, and trying to start fights. Kyle went to the Car Source parking lot, as someone had set a vehicle on fire and he intended to put it out. However, he noticed someone holding a pistol in their hand and tried to run away. Rosenbaum ended up chasing him, shouting "Fuck you!" and grabbing the barrel of his gun, at which point he fatally shot Rosenbaum. The bullets hit his heart, aorta, pulmonary artery and right lung, fractured his pelvis, and caused minor wounds to his left thigh and forehead.

Then, other people started yelling that Rittenhouse shot someone, and the rioters chased after him. Anthony Huber hit him with a skateboard and struggled with him to grab the gun out of his hands, at which point he shot Huber, hitting him in the heart and right lung and causing him to die rapidly. After Huber was shot, Grosskreuz put his hands up, but then pointed his handgun at Kyle and advanced on him while he was still down. This caused Kyle to shoot Grosskreuz, hitting his right biceps.

After this, Kyle advanced towards the police for protection and gave himself in. He was charged with two counts of first-degree homicide, one count of first-degree attempted homicide, two counts of recklessly endangering safety, possession of a dangerous weapon under 18, and failure to comply with an emergency order from state or local government. The latter two charges were dismissed, and he was eventually acquitted of all remaining charges by the jury on November 19, 2021.

The 14-year-old son of a pizza shop employee shot one of three would-be robbers in the face.

Police arrived at the shop in the Spring Garden neighborhood and noticed a trail of blood that began inside the restaurant and went on for three blocks into the subway station at Broad and Spring Garden streets.

The employee told police three men had entered and demanded money from the cash register. Other employees said one of the men tried to reach over the counter and then began attacking the woman, prompting her son to pull out a handgun from underneath the counter and shoot the alleged attacker once in the face.

Investigators say they followed a trail of blood down the stairs of a SEPTA subway station at Broad and Spring Garden.

Police say that's where they found the 33-year-old male suspect. The suspect was rushed to an area hospital where he was placed in critical condition. Police said the same suspect was likely involved in another robbery that took place about five minutes prior at a nearby pharmacy on the 400 block of North Broad Street, about two blocks away from the pizza shop. During that incident, three men entered the store and robbed the pharmacy.

Police analyzed surveillance video from inside the pharmacy and determined one of the three suspects matched the description of the suspect who was shot while trying to rob the pizza shop. The man who was shot has not been identified. No other injuries were reported.

Former police officer and acting councilor Erasmo Morais (PL) was murdered with rifle shots this Tuesday morning (7), in Crato, in the Cariri Region. No one was arrested.

According to the Military Police, the crime occurred around 11 am in Bairro Mirandão, close to the councilor's residence. Witnesses told police that two men in a white pickup truck fired the shots.

Erasmus would have been shot more than 10 times. The team of experts who went to the scene counted 47 capsules (36 from rifles and 11 from pistols) scattered across the floor.

A resident spoke to TV Verdes Mares and said she heard several shots. "When I left, he was already dead and the suspects were no longer there. He [councilman] was going to pick up his autistic son from school and was killed when he was leaving home," she said.

Erasmo Morais took office as a substitute and was a pre-candidate for councilor in this year's elections in Crato. Military Police teams searched the region with the aim of arresting the suspects.

The Crato City Council lamented the death in a statement. "In this moment of pain, we express our most sincere condolences to family and friends. May they find comfort and serenity to face this irreparable loss."

The Liberal Party in Ceará (PL Ceará) also issued a statement lamenting the death. "The cruelty of the crime committed against the parliamentarian is astonishing and unfortunately even more terrible for having occurred in front of his young son," said the party.

The incident took place on Libertad Street yesterday, on Wednesday. The victim was a Peruvian citizen who was visiting the country.

In the images recorded by the security cameras in the area, it is observed how an individual in a red sweatshirt approaches the victim and threatens him with a firearm. Although there is no resistance from the man, who hands over his belongings almost instantly, the aggressor shoots him before fleeing the scene.

At least three people died and several injured was the result of an argument that ended in a shootout inside the Hope 52 bar, located in Villahermosa, Tabasco.

The events occurred around 2:55 a.m. this Sunday, February 11 , in the nightclub located behind the Administrative Center of the State Government 2000, when several young people who were in the premises began to argue with others and then allegedly escorts took out their weapons and began shooting.

The events were recorded in at least two videos that were recorded by security cameras, which have already begun to circulate on social networks.

What is seen in the videos?

In the first clip, lasting at least 38 seconds, several attendees are seen at the entrance to the Hope 52 bar, just before passing the chain to leave, when a couple of subjects begin to argue with others.

In the images you can see at least 13 people participating in the fight . The scene is chaotic: you can see how some subjects begin to attack others, some try to separate them, others leave the area and some more arrive to join the fight.

It is then that a man dressed in black and wearing a hat is seen firing at least three shots into the air and, in response, another person dressed in a white shirt and jeans appears firing his weapon at least 11 times against five people. At the end of the clip the aggressor is seen fleeing the premises.

A second clip , which also circulates on social networks, begins with a couple of subjects removing a person who is apparently unconscious from the scene. Then six people appear on the scene, one of them carrying a gun in his hand, and they are seen going down some stairs.

After a few seconds, another group arrives and complains to the guards of the place and they are seen pointing at the rival group, although it is unknown what the complaint was. Then the first group returns to the entrance, and that is when the beating begins. A man and a woman who were observing the events see that one of the people approaching has a gun in his hand, so they run away: it is the man in black with a hat, who arrives and fires three shots into the air.

Upon hearing the explosions, the bar guards move away and only the guy in white is seen firing his gun and then fleeing. When the aggressor leaves the scene, three people who were hiding behind what looks like a garbage can are seen leaving the scene.

One of the wounded gets up and also runs away; while another person who was outside approaches the entrance and lifts another of the wounded and then leaves the place. The video cuts off but in the end only the three dead people remain, while no one, not even local staff, reappears on the scene.

According to Milenio, it was not until nine in the morning that experts from the Attorney General's Office of the State of Tabasco arrived at the point to collect the bodies and the evidence to open the investigation.

Seven arrested

Hours later, the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection ( SSP ) of Tabasco announced that, as a result of an operation launched, the arrest of seven subjects involved in the fight at the Hope 52 bar that left three people dead was achieved. .

According to the agency, all those detained are from Villahermosa and intended to flee. In the operation, a firearm and three vehicles were also seized, including a truck.

For his part, the governor of Tabasco , Carlos Manuel Merino Campos , regretted the events that occurred inside the nightclub, while ordering that the case be thoroughly investigated and there be no impunity.

“I deeply regret the events that occurred in a nightlife center in the Tabasco 2000 area, Villahermosa, where three young people lost their lives. From the first moment I have issued instructions so that this act is investigated in depth... and this act does not go unpunished, and the responsibilities reach their ultimate consequences. As the investigations by the corresponding authorities progress, we will keep the families of the victims informed. I urge again to avoid the spread of rumors and to all contribute so that social peace prevails in Tabasco,” he wrote.

So far there has been no information about the victims or the motive for the murders.

A police constable was shot and killed last night in Chaguanas.

The deceased has been identified as PC Dale Mayers, who was last attached to the Arima police station.

Just after 10 p.m. Mayers was liming with his wife and a friend - who is also a licensed firearms holder - at Unique Bar along the Montrose Main Road in Chaguanas, when they were confronted by a lone gunman.

The man, dressed in all black, walked up and announced a hold-up.

However, as he looked away, Mayers pulled out his licensed firearm and shot at the suspect.

The suspect returned fire before turning and fleeing the scene.

Mayers was shot in the chest with the bullet exiting his left arm.

The police and paramedics were notified and Mayers was taken to the Chaguanas District Hospital.

However, he died while undergoing treatment at about 11:06 p.m. police sources said.

A team of officers from the Central Division and the Homicide Bureau responded to the report and made their way to the scene of the shooting.

A firearm was seized at the scene, the Express was told.

Investigators also observed a trail of blood running from the bar to the roadway and as a result, they determined that Mayers had shot and injured his attacker.

An all-points bulletin was issued, and checks were made at all nearby medical institutions.

Just before midnight, a 24-year-old man from Nelson Street in Port of Spain was dropped off at the Port of Spain General Hospital for gunshot wounds.

The police were notified.

The suspect underwent emergency surgery under police guard.

This killing was captured on CCTV cameras which were set up at the bar.

On March 16, Sgt Larry Phillip, who was attached to the T&T Police Service Police Band, was one of five persons shot dead at Harpe Place off Observatory Street, Port of Spain.

Phillip, 51, lived a short distance away from the scene of the shooting.

Rudolph Donnie James, of Beverly Hills in Laventille; Randy Greaves, 32, of Oxford Street in Port of Spain; Pete Noray, 49, of Bart Street in Port of Spain; and Devon Jack, 42, of Chafford Courts in Port of Spain, were also killed in this incident.

A vehicle drove onto the compound and the occupants opened fire on residents without warning before driving off.

They were all shot in the vicinity of Building 6.

Three other persons were also injured in this incident and have since been discharged.

Crime scene investigators recovered over 50 spent shells on the scene of the shooting including rounds of 7.62mm, 5.56mm, and 9mm.

While police recovered the vehicle used in the shooting that day, no one has been held in connection with the killing, the Express was told by police sources.

On February 9, Cpl Marlone Mitchell was fatally shot in the vicinity of Lolita's Bar along the Southern Main Road in McBean Village, Couva.

CCTV footage showed that Mitchell was walking towards a vehicle parked near the bar, when he was confronted by a man in a white vest.

The two men got into a fight, during which the suspect shot Mitchell with his own firearm.

Anthony Hopkins of Quarry Road, Valencia, later surrendered to police in the presence of his attorney.

He was questioned, and later charged with Mitchell's murder.

Police also reportedly seized the fallen officer's firearm.

This matter is currently before the courts.

On January 17, police constable Ravindra Harrinarine, who was attached to the Traffic and Highway Patrol Branch was shot and killed in Valsayn.

This incident was also captured on CCTV cameras.

The footage shows that at about 10 p.m. that night, Harrinarine was seated in his red Subaru automobile with a female companion which was parked along Bassie Street in Spring Village, when three masked men approached and began shooting.

The woman got out, fled, and got into another car.

In CCTV footage, a woman can be seen exiting the scene immediately after the gunfire starts. In the video, the policeman can be seen stepping out of the vehicle and shooting at his assailants, who shoot back.

Harrinarine later died as a result of the injuries sustained.

A 48-year-old lawyer killed his ex-partner with two shots inside the garage of a building in Santos, on the coast of São Paulo. The woman was identified as Michelli Stefani do Nascimento, 27 years old. After the crime, Vicente Nogueira Gumbis de Souza shot himself in the mouth and died at the scene. The case was registered as a femicide at the Police Station for the Defense of Women.

The crime took place in a building located on Rua Particular Lélia, in the Aparecida neighborhood, on Tuesday night (14). According to the Civil Police, an employee of the building called the authorities through the Military Police Operations Center (Copom) and reported that there was a person lying in the building's garage.

At the scene, police officers found that there was a man lying on the ground, with a gun next to his left leg and a woman inside a car. Both people had injuries to their faces. The Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) was called and, after medical evaluation, rescuers confirmed the death of the two people.

Authorities requested images of the closed security circuit of the condominium and, specifically, of the building's parking lot, where the two people were found. Through the videos, it was possible to understand what happened in the place.

According to police, the woman arrived at the building around 7 pm and stopped the vehicle in the garage. She got out of the car, removed two suitcases from the trunk and placed them on the floor. The former companion was also in the parking lot and seemed to be waiting for the victim at the scene. According to police, he was anxious as he walked from side to side.
