Uttarakhand news: The superstition of a seven-year-old child's parents that a dip in the Ganga River could cure their son of cancer cost a child his life in Haridwar on Wednesday (January 24), police said. The boy's parents kept chanting mantras on the banks of Har ki Pauri while his aunt allegedly dipped him repeatedly in the Ganga ignoring his loud cries, until he suffocated and died, they added.Bystanders tried to stop the woman but she refused to listen to them, the police said. Eyewitnesses reported the incident to the police, SHO of the Har ki Pauri police station Bhavna Kainthola said. The child's parents and aunt have been held for interrogation, the SHO said.
The boy was suffering from blood cancer and resided with his parents in Delhi, she said. He died of drowning, the SHO said, adding that further inquiry into the case is underway.

Rescuers found the fucking body of a fucking woman who drowned in an ice hole near St. Petersburg. The fucking search for the fucking poor fellow lasted for 9 days and only now they were fucking able to find her. Divers and underwater drones were fucking involved in the fucking search. The fucking body was fucking found 150 meters from the fucking Rozhdestvensky Bridge downstream. This is fucking approximately one kilometer from the fucking ice hole into which the fucking deceased dived.

Their deaths were slow and torturous. And most importantly she jumped into hazardous conditions without realizing there was nothing to pull yourself out of the violent sea, nothing but wet rocks and the water, the sea is literally folding over itself causing a suction like effect, constantly pulling their body under. This is one miserable way to die.

a dinghy packed with migrants sinking in the Mediterranean after they mistook a Tunisian trawler for a coastguard ship.
The footage appeared on the internet and comes as the Italian coastguard warned that eight people had died and many more were missing after another migrant boat went down in the Mediterranean.
It comes alongside the trawler and, as the migrants desperately try to climb up the side of the fishing vessel, the dinghy capsizes and dozens are thrown into the sea.
Many of the migrants clearly cannot swim and only a handful are wearing lifebelts.
As a man onboard the trawler's deck shouts in Italian: 'Calma (Stay calm)' the situation gets worse and eventually the bodies of people who have clearly drowned can be seen floating on the surface.

M, who was struggling to keep calm in the rough waters of the Mediterranean, after practising cliff jumping. No one imagined that this heroic act would turn into a tragedy. Not even his wife, who was recording everything on her cell phone. In her video, you can see her husband jumping into the sea from a rock in the tourist Spanish city of Torrevieja, to try to help the woman, who can be seen how he tries to hold on to a rock.
Although he manages to reach his friend, whom he grabs and then clings to a nearby rock, suddenly, when he tries to yell something at his wife who was still recording everything from above, a strong wave covers them and whips them, making them disappear from the image, while their bodies are dragged out to sea."
