Sanjay Shah, CEO of a US-based private company, succumbed to his injuries and another official suffered serious injuries in an accident during the silver jubilee celebrations of the firm at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, police said on Friday.

Shah, the CEO of software firm Vistex, and his colleague Raju Datla, the president of the firm, entered an iron cage, during celebrations on Thursday evening, intended to be lowered from a height. However, one side of the iron chain supporting the cage broke, leading to the fall of both individuals.

Vistex had arranged accommodations for its staff at Ramoji Film City and had planned a two-day celebration for its silver jubilee. "Shah and Raju being lowered from the cage onto the dais was a planned event to kickstart the celebrations," a company official told The Times of India.

"Suddenly, one of the two wires attached to the cage snapped. Both plunged more than 15 feet and landed on the concrete dais. This caused multiple injuries," sub- inspector D Karunakar Reddy of Abdullapurmet police station told the newspaper.

They were rushed to the hospital, but Shah passed away while undergoing treatment, and his colleague is in serious condition, the police said. They added that a case was registered against the Film City event management authorities based on a complaint made by another company official.

Vistex is an Illinois-based firm specialising in revenue management solutions and services. With 20 global offices and more than 2,000 employees, the company serves leading brands such as GM, Barilla, and Bayer.

Shah, the founder of Vistex, has also established the Vistex Foundation and the Vistex Institute for Executive Learning and Research at Lehigh University.

Raju Datla, who has been with Vistex since 2000, has played a key role in shaping and expanding the firm's Solution Delivery capabilities, the company's website reads.

The deceased, Pankaj Rana was a resident of Rahra village of Karnal. According to the information, he used to work at a store in America. It was also his responsibility to clean the weapons kept for safety in the same store. Sampson was a football player who weighed over 300 pounds, and was unable to fit the harness of the ride over himself. The ride operator made “manual adjustments” to the seat so that the harness could be loosened enough for Sampson to ride. The harness “opening” was expanded to almost double its intended size, causing Sampson to slip out the bottom and plummet to his death near the end of the drop.

The Orlando Freefall has since been dismantled due to Sampson’s death. Though the cause of this incident was identified to be operator error, the operator at the time has not been named, so I can’t say whether they faced any punishment or not.

A Russian woman has died in the Dominican Republic after a car accident which involved her hanging out of the window on the passenger side while the driver recorded her on a mobile phone.

Natalia Borodina, 35, from Moscow, had taken her bikini off and was playing up to the camera, hauling her top half out of the car window while a friend was driving.

The shocking video sees the mother-of-one letting her upper body hang out of the window of the moving car, before she hits a lamp post.

The video was recorded on a highway near Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic.

It was filmed by Ms Borodina's friend Ivanna Boirachuk, 32, who is believed to have been driving the car.

Ms Borodina is naked, bar a pair of bikini bottoms, when she decides to hang out of the window.

She playfully sticks her finger in her mouth and laughs at the camera, but within seconds, the video shows impact.

Russian media reports that Ms Borodina was rushed to hospital and died there of 'serious injuries'.

'The woman was having fun demonstrating her naked breasts while her companion drove the car,' reported Moskovsky Komsomolets.

It is understood Ms Borodina's child, a boy aged around eight, was on holiday with her in the Dominican Republic.

Ms Borodina is originally from Zlatoust, an industrial city in the Urals, but then moved to regional capital Chelyabinsk, before relocating to Moscow.

Recently she had been working in Cannes, France as an estate agent, selling properties to wealthy Russian buyers.

Friends said that her family is aware of her appalling death.

Bone breaking is arguably one of the most cringe-worthy content out there. Whether it's caused by pure accident or human stupidity it's bound to make you wince.

There are several types of bone breaks

Bone breaking recovery time generally ranges from 6-8 weeks or more (depending on the break and severeity). After the recovery period, you're able to resume activity as normal (possibly with short term splits or braces to keep everything proper). Bone breaks take around a year or more to completely heal while in the remodeling phase, depending the severity of the break this time may be extended. It is important to take into account that the injury may look healed on the outside, but on the inside your bones are still repairing themselves until completion.

During the healing and remodeling process, it starts with the inflammation stage which occurs hours-days after the break. After a few days-weeks, chondroblasts produce a soft callus of cartilage around the fracture, providing initial stability after the fraxrure/break. This is then replaced by a hard callus formed by osteoblasts, which gradually replaces the soft callus with woven bone over a few weeks. Eventually, the hard callus is remodeled over several months to years by osteoclasts and osteoblasts, replacing the woven bone with stronger lamellar bone, thereby restoring the bone's original shape and strength. Throughout this process, proper nutrition, appropriate weight-bearing activity, and physical therapy are reccomended to support optimal bone healing and remodeling.
