A shopkeeper was shot dead inside the greengrocer's shop where he worked in the district of Mottas, in Teresópolis, in Rio's mountainous region. The crime took place at around 8pm on Thursday (16) and was recorded by the establishment's cameras.

The images show at least 19 shots fired at Luis Augusto dos Santos Oliveira, 29, known as Luizinho.

He was talking to a man at the till when he was surprised by a man who got off the back of a motorcycle, entered the establishment and pulled out a gun and shot the victim.

Even after Luizinho fell to the ground, the gunman continued firing until he discharged his weapon. He then got back on his motorcycle and fled the scene with the rider.
