The Office of Inspector General is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred at approximately 1:20 p.m. on December 30, 2023, at or near 601 Hartford Pike in the Dayville section of Killingly, CT.

Rhode Island authorities had put out a broadcast that a subject wanted in connection with a robbery was operating a Mercury Marquis Connecticut Registration C257810. Trooper Joseph Godbout spotted the vehicle at a Mobil gas station at 599 Hartford Pike, Dayville, CT. The operator, later identified as Ruben Muller, was outside the vehicle. When Trooper Godbout asked Muller for his license, Muller said that he did not have it and fled across the parking lot toward a Taco Bell restaurant. Trooper Godbout pursued and discharged his TASER causing Muller to fall briefly. Muller quickly got up and continued to flee. At the driveway to the Taco Bell, Muller ran into a truck that was entering Taco Bell lot and fell again. Trooper Godbout attempted to TASER Muller again. Muller then reached into his ankle area and pulled out a revolver. At this point, Trooper Godbout fired one shot striking Muller in the chest area. Medical assistance was provided to Muller at the scene. He was initially taken to Day Kimball Hospital, Putnam, CT and later to UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, Massachusetts. He is presently under treatment at UMass Memorial Medical Center.

The Office of Inspector General, Connecticut State Police Eastern District Major Crime Squad, and the Windham Judicial District State's Attorney's Office are conducting the investigation.

Muzaffarnagar: In an adventure gone horribly wrong, 18-year-old Raaz Qureshi hit a rock while he plunged headlong into a canal as his friends recorded the moments for a TitTok video. He died instantly.

In the video Qureshi is seen hitting a hard object as he plunges into the water and is knocked unconscious due to fatal wounds on his head.

According to sources, Qureshi, a resident of Meerapur in Muzaffarnagar, and his three friends went to the Ganga canal on February 28 where he jumped into canal but could not be able to move his body after he hit the rock. He went missing in deep water and his body was recovered two hours later.

According to sources, Qureshi had an account on TikTok where he frequently uploaded videos of various adventures.

According to Dogan News Agency which is based out of Turkey, this is what happened: 53 year old Iranian father of 3 girls identified only by his first name of Mehrdad had been sentenced to life in prison for his previous involvement in drug trafficking. Iranian authorities released him on temporary bail to give him a chance to spend some time with his family because his oldest daughter was about to get married. So the man went to his village in Kermanshah province in western Iran, took his three daughters to a remote woodland for a picnic, pulled out an automatic rifle and opened fire to shoot one daughter after another. The girl who was recording the “picnic” on her cell phone camera exclaimed: “ Dad, for heaven’s sake! ” The daughters were identified by their first names as 19 year old Mehtap, 12 year old Mehsa and 7 year old Laden. The father shot each of them reportedly because he loved them so much and with him being in jail, he was worried about their future.

Slivko was finally arrested when a female prosecutor took an interest in the boys club's activities even though there was no proof of illegal activity. None of the boys admitted to anything wrong being done, and couldn't recall the events but talked about some of the experiments.

Slivko was arrested in 1985 for the murder of 7 boys, 7 counts of sexual abuse, and sexual interaction with corpses. He was sentenced to death and the execution took place in 1989.

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Disturbing video of a deadly shooting inside a West Garfield Park liquor store reveals new details about the case, including that an argument started inside before shots were fired.

The video, which may be disturbing to some, first shows one man punch another at the counter.

Two others step between the pair as the man who was punched moves to go out the door. But then that man turns around and pulls out a gun, shooting the man who punched him multiple times.

The shooting happened Wednesday afternoon at 4:15.

The man who was shot was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center and pronounced dead. Not much is known about that man except that he was 19 years old, according to the medical examiner.

Police are still looking for the shooter.
