Aftermath:
José Luis Tamayo, Ecuador
Two men were murdered in the first minutes of Sunday, April 14, during a shooting at the "El Arbolito" bar, located in the El Paraíso neighborhood of the José Luis Tamayo parish, also known as "Muey."
The establishment was full of customers celebrating the weekend when suddenly an individual opened fire mercilessly against the two victims, who fell to the side of the dance floor.
The screams of those present, especially the women who work at the place, alarmed the neighborhood. According to a frightened customer, "the shots were directed only at those who were at a table. They did not mess with anyone else."
At the scene, Danny Clemente Panchana, 32, died instantly, while his friend Rubén Borbor González died at the Rafael Serrano López hospital, where he was taken seriously injured. "He did not resist and died on the way," said a relative.
It is presumed that the hitmen were looking for Clemente Panchana due to his criminal history. Police reported that in 2011 he was arrested for drug possession and in 2016 and 2017 he was arrested for microtrafficking.

Was it worth it? With how high ammo prices are these days, those guys in the car lost more than the guy they killed.

Gunmen opened fire on a group of people in San Juan this morning, killing two people and injuring three more. Investigators said that the incident occurred just before 9am at the corner of Second Avenue and Saddle Road in San Juan. Police say four gunmen in a Toyota Yaris motor car pulled up to the group and opened fire. Reynold Victor, who police believe was the original target, was shot multiple times and killed at the scene, while four others were also hit, including Jelissa Payne. According to sources, Payne, 35, died later at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex. Another woman was shot in the back and right knee and is in critical condition. According to police, a 59-year-old guy was shot in the left knee and back, while a 40-year-old man was wounded in the right knee and buttocks. Police sources say the hit on Reynold came from behind the prison walls as a message to his brother Arnold Victor, who is also imprisoned. Arnold Victor, aka Fox, has been in prison since 2009 on a charge of allegedly murdering Vegas gang leader Sean Bill Francis on the 26th of April 2009 while at a dumpster near his home. Fox had taken control of the Vegas community after Francis was murdered but he and three other men were subsequently arrested and charged with the alleged capital offense. In January 2010, Tekron Hill and Andy Ferriera were freed of Francis killing by then Port of Spain Magistrate Avason Quinlan, who ruled that a prima facie case was not made out against them. However the following month, Quinlan committed Fox and Matthew Perpignac to stand trial at the High Court on charges of allegedly murdering Francis. Fox was accused of controlling the Vegas community from behind bars and calling many shots from behind prison walls. He made more enemies than friends and as the gang culture changed on the outside, most of his loyal soldiers were either gunned down, killed by the police, charged with murder or simply disappeared. The killing of Foxs brother may have been as a result of a recent fallout Fox had with someone. Reynold and his mother had built a house in Vegas Morvant but were forced to leave and relocate to San Juan after their lives were threatened.
