A question and immediately a suggestion to local visitors.

A herd of local degenerates posts a lot of videos - videos - "look, corpse!". Fuck it.

Just look at the corpses - fuck off to the morgue.

Post STRICTLY here - "HOW people are dying" - not "look, corpse!" - but watch the action scene as "a man was killed". Not corpses - but scenes of people dying. I am making a proposal to the local administration - to limit the video only to action scenes - not to maturation on deceased people.

This place is one of the best "morbid curiosity" websites you can find, it's full of educational yet morbid videos and you can really spend so much time scrolling through these videos without knowing it, You gotta have to thank the developers and mods of this site for their hardwork.

When this site was still very young (It still is tbh) it has less users in it but they're pretty active and posting new stuff every hour, Commenters were very polite and respectful and they also do not make fun or make jokes about the people that are dying in these videos.

But as the time moves forward, Nothing can stay the same forever, Recently there has been many users in this site being edgy and making fun of people getting hurt and Not taking this stuff seriously and if we continue to do this, This site is gonna get in trouble like those other shock websites in the past.

But of course that doesn't mean it's bad for this site to have many users, I'm just saying that this site might become one of those websites that is full of edgy users that think it's fine to make fun of people dying and getting hurted.

The moderators are probably trying their best to take care of these trolls but there's just so many of them.

To be honest if you ignore the edgy dicks and the self-righteous cop hating racists the people on this site are very nice, and reasonable. They share the videos they have and most of the time It's for educational purposes. Mainly what happens in Russia, cartels, wars, ISIS and some medical stuff too. So to everyone on this site who isn't a douch thank you for providing us with videos and intel about news from various countries during various time periods and such. This place has become such a mixed pot of nice people translating stuff and helping others understand, and people starting race wars in comments... So I wrote this message as a thank you for the translators and providers and a big ol' fuck you to the racists, sexists, and just weird people who comment they want to see more people dying is horrible ways :)

We're considering adding a similar system here on watchpeopledie.co. In addition to filtering by category, you could also block particular categories from showing up in your feed, and you could subscribe to notifications for new posts in particular categories. Further, we are able to repurpose some existing code for this, so it'd be available fairly soon.

We're looking for your feedback. Is this something you'd want? Also, poll in the pinned comment on how many categories we should have to start, if we go forward with this. Please discuss and offer suggestions in comments!

We asked if you wanted post flairs to categorize posts, and you all answered overwhelmingly:

You will now see our categories on your sidebar (desktop) or the main dropdown menu (mobile):

If you want to filter by a particular category, just click its button. If you want to get notified for new posts in a category, click to go to it on the sidebar/dropdown and click the Follow button. If you don't want to see a certain category in your feed, go to it and click the Block button.

With this change, we're now requiring all new posts be flaired. There's a box for it at the top of the post submission page, and it'll autocomplete if you start typing. If your post involves the cartel, ISIS (or similar groups), or the death of a child, flair based on that. Otherwise, the categories are based on cause of death. If you really can't decide where a post goes, put it in 'Misc' and a moderator will move it, but please try to think hard first.

We'll soon go through the popular old posts to get them flaired correctly. Also, we'll probably adjust the flair categories a little bit once we see what works and what doesn't. Thanks in advance for your cooperation with flairing your posts!

This is my first post, and I wanted to make a suggestion to the admins. So, I'm Brazilian, but there also people from other countries on this site, and we don't fully understand English. I don't even know what some words mean, so I need to use Google Translator. I even use it to write a comment.

My suggestionis the following: I downloaded the WPD app, and it would be very interesting for you to put a button to translate the page with some languages... what do you think? I use the site a lot through Chrome and it has this function. But I always access the site through anonymous pages so that not many things are recorded in the browser history and make it difficult for me to find something that I have already searched for in the history, as I spend hours on the site watching videos.

Also a tip I give is: After you make the post, you can't change the Flair of the post. I posted this suggestion with Flair in Misc, and then I saw that I needed to rename Flair to meta. Oh, since I couldn't change it, I had to redo the post with the correct Flair

Am I the only one who has problems viewing videos as a IOS user? I’m missing sooo many videos because I can’t watch them, download them, nothing. Is there something I can do to fix this? It’s so frustrating because I love this site & use it everyday.

I think that, in addition to the efforts of the moderators and administrators of this site, who try to create a friendly and more understandable community for everyone, we members should also make the community environment more favorable to everyone. I'm not making any silly speeches here, what I mean is that most gore communities (and even non-gores) are toxic, full of internet killers who pay bullies, but in real life it's nothing, and this makes the website image very smudged. Have you noticed that today we reached 200 active members NOT LOGGED in? Guys, let's aim for growth! there are other gore sites that are worse than ours. Let's have a more competitive spirit here! What I'm trying to say with this other thing is that our community is getting divergent sides. one side wants to make this a serious site, and one that shows the reality of the facts, and the other side wants to shit the whole site. I decided to create my account because the environment here in the community is friendly (a few weeks ago it wasn't as hostile as it is now). Perhaps many people who log in here to watch videos just don't create accounts because the community, as I said, is gaining divergent sides, and this will one day tarnish the site's reputation.
