Incident captured on CCTV and shared on social media, a young boy nearly drowned in a private pool in Hua Hin after slipping out of his inflatable ring.
The video shows a group of children playing in the pool, including the victim's older brother and their friends. Initially, no one noticed the young boy's struggle as he submerged silently. The danger was only noticed when one of the children alerted the group.
Parents, engaged in conversation by the poolside, were oblivious to the unfolding drama until a shout from one of the older children altered them to incident. The video reveals a quick-reacting boy diving into the water to rescue his younger brother, pulling him to the surface just in time.
A family member immediately administered first aid, which helped to expel water from the child's lungs and airways. The prompt action restored the boy's breathing, and he regained consciousness, though he complained about feeling pain with each breath.
The child was rushed to Hua Hin Hospital, which the child's parents said was commendably equipped and staffed. The doctors' quick assessment and treatment were crucial; an X-ray confirmed his lungs were filled with water, necessitating a night in the ICU. Fortunately, his condition stabilized, and after a three-day hospital stay, he fully recovered without further complications.
Moral of the story: Watch your kids, bruh.

A man identified as Allan Serejo da Silva drowned in the River Guamá, on Sunday night (11), during a party that was taking place in the municipality of São Miguel do Guamá, northeast Pará. The victim is also identified by the nickname 'Pureto'. Initial reports are that he was drinking alcoholic beverages and, at a certain point, entered the river and disappeared into the water. About an hour later, he was found floating unconscious.According to the 42nd BPM, which is responsible for policing the municipality, at around 10.30pm people who were taking part in a party on the banks of the river reported that 'Pureto' had disappeared when he entered the water. The Fire Brigade was immediately called in and began searching for the man. Due to the poor lighting at the site and the dark color of the water, the agents had difficulty searching and did not find the victim. At around 11.55pm, the police were called again by residents who reported the appearance of the body.
The firefighters removed 'Pureto's' body and began resuscitation procedures, but were unsuccessful and sent the victim to a health unit. According to people in the area, Allan had mental problems and was well known in the town. Witnesses mourned Pureto's death.
In a statement, the Civil Police said they are investigating the circumstances of the death through the São Miguel do Guamá police station. Witnesses will be heard and forensics will be requested to help with the investigation. The Pará Military Fire Brigade sent a statement to the press informing that it was called to attend the incident and carried out resuscitation procedures. The victim was taken to the municipal hospital in São Miguel do Guamá.

UDUPI: Search operations are underway for a youth from Bhadravathi in Shivamogga, who is reported missing after a fall from a rock during his visit to Arasinagundi Falls in Kollur on Sunday.
According to the police Sharath, 23, slipped and fell from a rock while observing the spectacular Arasinagundi waterfall. He was allegedly carried away by the currents of the Sowparnika River and is reported missing.

Rescue workers found the remains of Alejandra Terrazas Del Val in a canal in Culiacán, Sinaloa, in northwestern Mexico the day after she was swept away in rushing waters caused by heavy rain.
A city government security camera recorded the frightening moment the 17-year-old high school volleyball player tried to reach out and grab a hold of a woman, who was standing near a car.
The strong current dragged her away as she struggled to get back towards the vehicle.
Another nearby car is shown being pulled along by the water too, moments before the teenager suddenly disappears from view through the uncovered sewer.
A search team was forced to stop looking for the young girl due to poor lighting before it resumed its rescue plan Friday.
Heavy rains in Culiacán caused several streets to become flooded
Residents told Mexican outlet EL Debate that the sewer had gone uncovered for three years and that complaints to have it repaired went unanswered.
On Friday, Culiacán mayor Jesús Estrada Ferreiro accepted responsibility for Terrazas Del Val's tragic death.
'I was not aware how open that part of the sidewalk was. I would have sent for someone to repair it,' Estrada Ferreiro said.
'There was a complaint and although it was not answered correctly, I respond for the legal consequences that have been made. I will not deny the responsibility that lies within the municipality of Culiacán '
Local architect Francisco Monarrez took charge Friday afternoon to make sure the gaping hole was covered.
Monarrez paid $1,500 Mexican pesos, about $75, to purchase the materials and close friends assisted him in placing a temporary metal grate over the sewer.

Muzaffarnagar: In an adventure gone horribly wrong, 18-year-old Raaz Qureshi hit a rock while he plunged headlong into a canal as his friends recorded the moments for a TitTok video. He died instantly.
In the video Qureshi is seen hitting a hard object as he plunges into the water and is knocked unconscious due to fatal wounds on his head.
According to sources, Qureshi, a resident of Meerapur in Muzaffarnagar, and his three friends went to the Ganga canal on February 28 where he jumped into canal but could not be able to move his body after he hit the rock. He went missing in deep water and his body was recovered two hours later.
According to sources, Qureshi had an account on TikTok where he frequently uploaded videos of various adventures.

In October 2023, two migrants, a Venezuelan named Carlos N. and an unidentified Haitian, tragically drowned while attempting to cross the Rio Grande from Matamoros, Tamaulipas, to Brownsville, Texas.
The incident occurred when both individuals, struggling to reach the U.S. shore due to a large amount of mud, decided to return to the Mexican side but unfortunately sank. Carlos was with his wife and two children at the time; one child, aged 15, managed to cross the river, while the other, aged 8, did not. The Haitian migrant tried to rescue Carlos but was unsuccessful.
Both Carlos and the Haitian drowned in an area with a lot of accumulated garbage and water lilies.
