A local resident was detained in Norilsk on suspicion of murder of his cohabitant and attempted murder of his stepson and a man.

On May 18, 2024, the body of a 36-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds to the neck was found in Norilsk. The woman's 12-year-old son and a man were also taken to the hospital.

The Norilsk Investigation Department has opened a criminal case against a 34-year-old resident of Norilsk. He is suspected of murder and attempted murder of two or more persons, against a minor, for hooligan motives.

The preliminary investigation found that on May 18, 2024, the suspect, being in a state of alcoholic intoxication, took a knife and went to his cohabitant. On the landing, he met his 12-year-old stepson and stabbed him in the neck area. The suspect then entered the apartment and stabbed the woman several times in the neck area.
